Laurelwood Golf Course, first opened for play in 1928 as an 18 hole Country Club. It was the first golf course built in Eugene. The course was designed by Clarence Sutton. Today, the course is a 9 hole course and is owned by the City of Eugene and is open to the public.
The course retains the wooded, hilly charm of the original course. Laurelwood is an oasis of trees and striped fairways just a few blocks from downtown Eugene and the Univ. of Oregon.
You can play the course from different tee boxes and get in an 18 hole round that plays to a par of 70. Blue/Black Tees: 6,067 yards, rating 70.7, 135 slope. White/Blue Tees: 5,603 yards, rating 68.3, 116 slope. Red/White Tees: 5,069 yards, rating 70.5, 127 slope.

This is a good course to play. However, when I went they work fixing the greens, so there was a lot of sand on them. They should have at least mentioned the green conditions before sending us out.
